Most creators don’t have a content problem — they have a location problem: ideas in phone notes, half-drafts in chat with themselves, the posting schedule in memory. Every post pays a chaos tax. The cure is one boring, beautiful thing: a single dashboard, five columns, reviewed once a week.

The five columns
- Ideas — the inbox. Every thought lands here (with the query phrase it answers, if it has one). Zero commitment; capture beats memory.
- Drafting — max five items. This limit is the system’s engine: it forces finishing over starting, the classic creator failure mode.
- Ready — written, visual attached, scheduled date assigned. Your buffer: three-plus items here means a sick week can’t break your consistency.
- Published — with date and platform. This column becomes your repurposing goldmine in three months.
- Evergreen winners — the hall of fame. Anything that clearly over-performed gets promoted here for reruns, remakes and cross-platform reuse.
Fields worth tracking (and nothing more)
Per item: title/hook, format (reel, carousel, story, email), pillar (which content theme it serves), astro peg (transit or season, if any), scheduled date, platform(s). Resist adding more fields — dashboards die of ambition, not simplicity. Notion, Trello or a plain spreadsheet all work; the tool matters far less than the weekly ritual.
The 20-minute weekly review
- Empty your head into Ideas (5 min) — everything captured nowhere else.
- Check the sky ahead (5 min) — any lunation or transit next week that deserves a slot?
- Promote and schedule (5 min) — move finished work to Ready, assign dates, confirm the buffer holds.
- Score last week (5 min) — one line per published post; promote outliers to Evergreen Winners.
Why this multiplies everything else
The dashboard is where the other systems dock: batch day fills Drafting and Ready; the hook formulas live as a linked note beside Ideas; cross-posting reads from Published; social SEO queries enter as Ideas. Twenty minutes a week, and the machine runs — even on the weeks you don’t feel like a creator.
Try it yourself
Build the five columns right now — it’s a 15-minute job. Then move your existing scattered ideas in. The relief of seeing your whole content life on one screen is the motivation that keeps the ritual alive.

Worked example: reading a week honestly
A week’s numbers: 12,000 reach, 480 likes, 31 saves, 6 shares, 210 profile visits, 14 link clicks, 1 booking.
