Pisces
Let the year end before you start the next one.
Pisces in a birth chart
A sign means something different depending on which planet is in it. These are the four people ask about most, written as they would go into a reading rather than as a keyword list.
Sun in Pisces
what the life is organised around
The life organises around what is felt rather than what is stated. Boundaries are permeable, so other people's moods arrive as if they were your own, and solitude is a requirement rather than a preference. Escape is the old habit; discernment is the work.
Moon in Pisces
what is needed in order to feel safe
Safety comes from not having to be separate. Other people's feelings are absorbed as if they were your own, which makes crowded rooms exhausting and cruelty genuinely injuring. Solitude, water and something creative are not luxuries here but maintenance.
Rising in Pisces
how you arrive before anyone knows you
Arrives gently and somewhat undefined, and takes on the colour of whoever is nearby. Easy to talk to, hard to describe afterwards. The absence of hard edges is the strength; being walked over is the thing to watch for.
Venus in Pisces
what is wanted, and what counts as beautiful
Wants to merge, and idealises early. Falls for potential and is genuinely surprised by the person who eventually turns up. Compassion is real; discernment about who deserves it is the lifelong work.
Mercury and Mars in Pisces are in Interpretation Blocks, along with the same four for the other eleven signs — 72 paragraphs in total.
Pisces season
Pisces season is the end of the cycle, and it is for release rather than output. Boundaries get thin, which is good for creative work and empathy and unhelpful for admin. It is the right month to finish, forgive, sleep, and stop carrying something you have been carrying for someone else.
What Pisces season overdoes
Blur. Thin boundaries make it hard to tell your feeling from someone else's, and hard to keep a commitment you made in a more energetic month. Escape is the other risk, and it rarely looks dramatic — mostly it looks like a lot of very reasonable postponement.
Two questions for this season
- What has been half-done for a year?
- What am I carrying that was never mine?
Three practices and three more questions are in the Zodiac Season Workbooks — 36 practices and 60 prompts across the twelve seasons.
When Pisces season starts, exactly
Most places give an approximate date, because the Sun does not enter a sign at the same moment every year — it drifts by up to a day and a half. These are computed from an ephemeris, to the minute, in UT. Add your own offset.
